Geospatial Intelligence

ArcGIS · ITAMS · range geography

GIS-driven analysis for range modernization, training-land management, and operational planning. Falconer Operations Group integrates authoritative range, terrain, and installation data into products that hold up under range control review and Sustainable Range Program reporting.

Geospatial work supports every other capability area. SDZ and WDZ geometry, range modification proposals, training event de-confliction, and operational risk assessments all draw from the same authoritative GIS baseline.

Range Systems Engineering

DA PAM 385-63 · AR 385-63 · MCO 3570.1C

Doctrine-anchored engineering for live-fire ranges. Surface Danger Zone generation for direct and indirect fire. Geometry, ricochet, lateral and vertical containment. We work from the weapon system, ammunition, terrain, and operational mission you actually have, not idealized worst-case assumptions that close ranges unnecessarily.

Single-event SDZs for unusual ammunition combinations. Re-baselined SDZs for existing ranges. Comparative analyses for range modification proposals. Documentation chain to support the safety board.

03

Unmanned Systems

UAS · loitering munitions · composite footprint method

Weapon Danger Zone analysis for unmanned aircraft systems and loitering munitions. Falconer Operations Group builds the operating envelope, the variable attack profile, the impact and fragmentation containment, and the failure mode envelope into a single union polygon for range control.

Published WDZ guidance was largely written for fixed-wing aircraft with a known release profile. A loitering munition with a variable dive angle, a link-loss failure mode, and a GPS-denied operating environment does not fit that template. This is the analytical gap we work in.

04

Operational Risk

AR 350-19 · TC 25-8 · MCO 3570.1C · service-specific

Pre-event certification reviews, range card audits, on-site inspection support, and corrective-action tracking. The compliance and risk work that holds up under IG, command safety officer, and post-incident review.

Working-level perspective. The kind that catches a missing weapons systems annex, a target line not properly sited against the SDZ, or a misplaced control measure before it stops a training event or costs a career.
